Kerasan® is an active substance complex especially developed for cows, which consists of vitamins, organically bound trace elements and further specialities promoting the health of cow claws.

- Biotin reduces horn abrasion and hardens the hooves
- Organically bound and inorganic zinc support keratin synthesis
- Organically bound and inorganic copper encourage hoof horn stability and connective hoof tissue
- Sulphur increases microbial protein synthesis and hoof horn growth
Kerasan® effects
- Encourages keratin synthesis, maturation and hardening of the hoof horn and protects against ulcers on the hoof sole
- Stabilises hoof horn and strengthens connective hoof tissue, tendons and ligaments
- Supports the formation of intercellular cement between the hoof horn cells
Kerasan® dosage
- It is important to stimulate and to promote the claw health of cows from early on, through the Sano feeding concepts for calves, young cattle, milking cows, and cows in the dry period.
- Kerasan® acts as an additional boost for the health of claws.
- Feed cows in the dry period (50 days duration) 25 grams of Kerasan® per cow per day.
- Feed a lactating cow 50 grams of Kerasan® daily for two six-week periods per year.
