What is Mastitisan® ?

Mastitisan® is an active substance complex especially developed for cows, which consists of vitamins, organically bound trace elements and further specialities promoting the health of cow bags and reducing the occurrence and duration of udder diseases.

Mastitisan® product characteristics

  • Vitamin E and selenium support immune defences and improve cell protection
  • Niacin supports energy metabolism and milk formation
  • Organically bound and inorganic zinc protects against udder infections
  • Potassium sorbate eliminates pathogenic bacteria, yeasts and fungi in the rumen and stimulates immunoglobulin production in the tissues

Mastitisan® dosage

  • It is important to stimulate and to promote the udder health of cows from early on, through the Sano feeding concepts for calves, young cattle, milking cows, and cows in the dry period. 
    Mastitisan® acts an an additional boost for the health of the udder.
  • Feed cows in the dry period (50 days duration) 25 grams of Mastitisan® per cow per day.
  • Feed a lactating cow 50 grams of Mastitisan® daily for two six-week periods per year.
