What is Multisan Nektar^® ?

Multisan Nektar^® is a cocktail made of sugar components that acts as a source of readily available energy for beneficial rumen bacteria, such as the cellulites. Multisan Nektar® consits of a variety of different sugar types that promote different kinds of bacteria and protozoa in the rumen.

Using Multisan Nektar® is therefore particular important if the strength-sugar ratio is too high (>3:1). If sugar in the ration is insufficient, raw fibre will not be converted as successfully in the rumen, which can mainly be seen in the high proportion of fibre remains in the dung and leads to a reduction in milk fat content.
