Labacsil® Duo

Double protection for safe and tasty grass and corn silage

During silage-making, you need to minimise nitrogen losses and make the best feed for milk production available to animals all year round. Silage should be tasty, so animals enjoy eating it, and have a high concentration of nitrogen.

The lactic acid bacteria in Labacsil® Duo cause rapid pH value reduction in silage to below 4.2. Labacsil® Duo acids work best in this pH area. They kill off gram-negative bacteria (e.g. clostridia), yeast and moulds and encourage gram-positive bacteria (e.g. lactic acid bacteria) in the silage. In turn, the lactic acid bacteria keep the pH value of silage in the optimum effect zone for Labacsil® Duo acids.

Fermentation pests don’t stand a chance when faced with the combination of lactic acid bacteria and acids.
